We're Live!

Encyclopedia Virginia Home Page

Encyclopedia Virginia (Beta) is now officially live. We’re adding content every week, and we’ll use this space in part to highlight newly posted entries. You can also check the blog’s sidebar for updated content, or subscribe to the encyclopedia’s RSS feed, which can be particularized to the kind of content you prefer to read.

In the meantime, you’ll find a link at the end of each encyclopedia entry allowing you, the reader, to provide feedback. Let us know what you think of the content, the design, the whole EV experience. In turn, we’ll use the blog you publish and respond to some of that feedback.

Most of what’s currently up on the site falls into the categories of literature, twentieth century history, and the Civil War. And speaking of the Civil War, the Virginia Sesquicentennial Commission has picked up our Civil War content. The work they’re doing is great, and we urge you to poke around their site.

The Ask an Expert feature is particularly interesting, and this one features VFH-er Karennne Wood.
